1) Strauss Festival 🎉

Looking for a fun night out, supporting our local community? The Strauss Festival has been a longstanding staple in the month of July for Elk Grove, featuring live music and a choreographed theatrical performance! The event is free, takes place multiple days throughout the end of July, and has a vibrant atmosphere throughout the entire night - including food and drinks. And if you haven’t gotten enough of the 4th of July fireworks, there might be a surprise for you at the end…

When: July 24th - July 27th, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Thursday - Sunday)

2) Moth Night 🦋

Located at the Cosumnes River Preserve Visitor Center, this opportunity should not be passed up! Both informative and entertaining, Moth Night gives a chance to learn more about moths through a presentation and then hands-on documentation - particularly during National Moth Week!

When: Friday, July 25th

  • Presentation begins at 8:30 PM

  • Viewing until 11:00 PM

3) Shakespeare in the Park 📖

Looking for an entertaining night out with the family or friends? Look no further - director Anthony D’Juan puts on Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, a romantic and comedic tale of mistaken identities. Tickets are free, but any donations that could be made to support our local talent at Cosumnes River College would be appreciated.

When: All performances begin at 7:30 PM

  • Friday, July 25 at 7:30 pm

  • Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 pm

  • Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 pm

4) Pear Fair 🍐

Are you interested in pears and fun involving pears? If this applies, visit the Pair Fair! Featuring live music, food & drink, a parade, and competitions involving pears, this longstanding traditional event has been going on since 1972, and any money made goes towards the local community!

When: Sunday, July 27 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Cost: $20 Per Car parking fee, CASH ONLY.

5) Classic Cars for a Cause 🏎️

Are you a car enthusiast and looking to provide for a good cause? Join Ivy Park for the annual Memories Matter Car Show, where all proceeds go towards the Alzheimer’s Association. Food and drinks will be available, as well as a great time with friends and family.

When: Saturday, July 26 (10:30 am)
